Poor Achiever Becomes a Top Achiever
Ivan Dunn from Randfontein, South Africa, had difficulty with reading fluency. He reversed b's and d's, had to sound out nearly every word before he could read it and often lost his place. As a result, his school marks were poor. Ivan started with Audiblox classes in August of his Grade 3 school year. He attended two classes per week of one hour each. Ivan's mother, Mrs. G. M. Dunn, reports: “After three months Ivan's reading had improved a lot, as well as his concentration. In the final exam (November 2000) he received a certificate for life skills. The real surprise, however, came in 2001 when he obtained four distinctions on his report in the first exam (March 2001). Every following quarter his marks would continue to improve. At the end of the school year (November 2001), he passed with an aggregate of 84% and received an award for academic achievement.” |
